Vanities have provided storage for personal care items since the time of the ancient Egyptians. Today, vanities are integral to any bathroom, from the most sumptuous ensuite to the smallest of powder rooms.

Despite their languid name, vanities are hard-working and versatile pieces that add elegance and storage to your bathroom space. We’ve selected several gems from the Design Connection, Inc. remodel portfolio that showcase the beauty and function of vanities. Spoiler alert – we’ve also included the powder room at Design Connection, Inc. in this blog!

Timeless, Custom White

White vanities feel timeless and current, regardless of what’s trending in any given year. This bathroom remodel is part of a whole home remodel. The new vanity features custom painted inset cabinets in a soothing white. The result is elegant and high-end, while providing loads of storage space!

Beautiful and practical: The modern vanity looks sleek and uncluttered, thanks to the rev-a-shelf that is the perfect storage solution for a hair dryer and curling iron. Soft-close drawers neatly house  personal care items.

Dark Wood in the Powder Room

For this same whole-home redesign by Design Connection, Inc. the powder room was also completely transformed. This remodel features a custom vanity and floor-to-ceiling cabinet in a dark wood finish. The rich dark wood pops against the large-print wallpaper – big impact in a small space!

Go Contemporary

The look of your bathroom should blend with the design concept of your home. For this renovation, the Design Connection, Inc. team carried the sleek and understated the contemporary look used throughout the house into the master bathroom.

Before the renovation, the angled cabinets and color scheme gave the vanity a dated feel.

Bathroom Before

To update the space, we used full overlay cabinets with pullouts and drawers for extra storage space. A straight vanity replaced the old angled shape for more countertop space. It’s a functional, clean and contemporary look!

Bathroom After

Majestic Style in a Small Space

The before and after photos of this space ultimately say it all! The narrow alcove for the vanity in this powder room emphasized how small the space was.

Powder Room Before

We added a wood vanity to ground this room. The pewter wall covering blends with the mirror and the dark metal tile.  This effect creates the illusion of space in a very petite powder room. Instead of putting in an inset sink, we used a very stylish and contemporary square sink that sits on top of the quartz.

Height Matters

The height of your vanity influences many elements of your bathroom – storage space, ease of use and aesthetics. In this bathroom, our client’s short vanities limited storage possibilities.

Bathroom Before

The results are stunning! The Design Connection, Inc. team replaced the short vanity and cabinets with higher, more spacious cabinets with wider drawers. We used white painted wood for this vanity, along with silver wallpaper, to give the space a much brighter look.

A Sneak Peak at the Design Connection, Inc. Powder Room

We love updating our space here at Design Connection, Inc.!  With the help of Kohler products and Thibaut wall coverings, we created an office bathroom that is both stunning and practical. We wanted a dramatic space this delivers! Love the metallic!

The vanity was designed to float on the wall, which wasn’t possible for our office setting. We added  iron legs to keep the feel of a floating vanity.

The Case for Space

Your vanity space is a very personal space. Space planning for your unique use is what the Design Connection, Inc. team does best! In this home, we removed the unused bathtub and installed double-sinks with a large makeup area.

Bathroom Vanity Before and After

Designed for the way these clients live and move throughout their space, each cabinet was well thought-out and planned with the clients’ exact needs and ease-of-use in mind. They love their new vanity space!
