Designed To Dine: Quick, Easy and Impressive Thanksgiving Table Ideas
Between preparing your home, the bird, and all the fixings, do you really have time to craft a Thanksgiving tablescape? YES! We’ve got some incredibly quick, easy & impressive Thanksgiving table ideas that you can pull together at the last minute. We’ve even got some fun for the kids!
It seems that everyone is making their own centerpieces and tabletop embellishments these days. Every bite of food is made from scratch, why not the decorations, too?

With your dining room at full capacity and your dining table full of brimming plates, grand centerpieces and table décor can interrupt across-the-table conversations. In this yearly elbow-to-elbow tradition, the centerpiece should promote the impression of coming together. This simplistic DIY centerpiece by Julie Blanner sets the stage for an intimate Thanksgiving feast.

Most dining rooms get great light during the day but once the sun sets, it’s up to you to set the mood. Candles are a great way to accessorize any tablescape, especially on Thanksgiving. With a few hurricane vases, candles and some fall foliage from your backyard, you can replicate this look in a matter of minutes.

Another way to ensure that your Thanksgiving table décor doesn’t take over your table is by containing it. This gourd filled centerpiece was given the perfect touch with tea light candles in mason jars. DIY sisters Ashley and Whitney made this cute piece for about $12. Get instructions here.

If you want to go a bit bigger in terms of your table décor simply add more to your box! Anita from Far Above Rubies compiled pics of her table box throughout the seasons. See more of her tabletops here.

Have some fun with your table settings! This easy how-to shows you the easiest way to fold a linen napkin into the shape of a turkey.

Will your Thanksgiving include a kids’ table? Keep the kiddos in their seats and give them something to play with other than their mashed potato volcanoes. There are a ton of free kids’ Thanksgiving Day printables from placemats and coloring sheets to MadLibs and table games. Here are a few of my favorite—click on the pics for the links.
