High Point Highlights

Twice a year, I travel to the High Point Market – the largest home furnishings show in the world! This spring’s High Point Market showcased seating design in motion, with chairs that combine high comfort and style. In this blog, I’ll take you on a private tour of the High Point showrooms. Here are my top picks!

Movement and Curves: Swivel Chairs

Shapes that evoke flow and movement are emerging styles in furniture and accessories. Swivel chairs add comfort, mobility and style to your space. I love this Burton James swivel chair – it’s been in their line for years.  In this neutral fabric, it’s fresh and on-trend!

Swivel Chic

This swivel is the most comfortable chair I’ve ever sat in! The cut-outs and strong geometry of this chair’s shape are chic and interesting.

Sleek and Sexy

This tailored swivel is from the Ambella Home Collection. Ambella’s upholstery is impeccable, and this chair delivers both good looks and comfort.

Sublime Recliners

The High Point Market showcased the latest in high-style, high-powered recliners. Here are a few of my favorites, designed to suit a wide variety of decorating styles. All of the seating I’m featuring here run on super-efficient battery packs – they recharge in just 30 minutes for over 400 hours of use!

Traditional Styling with Flair

This recliner is based on a vintage 1938 chair. Classic and comfy, it’s a great addition to a traditional design concept.

This CR Laine recliner is the perfect comfortable chair for transitional rooms. Its dimensions (27 inches wide by 42 inches tall) work well even in smaller spaces.

Distressed to Impress

This Burton James recliner stands out in distressed leather! If leather is not your preference, the chair can be upholstered in a performance fabric to add a touch of comfort to a traditional space.

Curve Appeal

The design details of this recliner are fantastic. The curved back give the chair a fluid sense of motion, and the dark wood cut-outs lend a modern feel.

Modern Simplicity

This recliner is wonderfully comfortable! The clean and simple styling make this chair an excellent choice for mid-century modern spaces.
