Our client found their dream house. Design Connection, Inc. transformed it into their Dream Home – in perfect time for the holidays!

When our client first saw their new house plans, they loved the layout and spectacular view. So did the Design Connection, Inc. team! Understanding their design style was our first step in transforming the new house into their dream home. Through that process, we identified their preference for clean lines, modern styling and bold yet sophisticated colors.

Main Living Space

One accessory, piece of furniture or selection can often inspire the color palette for an entire home. For our client, it was the rug we selected for the main living space. Shades of orange, gray and blue set the tone in the living room. The custom artwork  in the dining area harmonizes with the design theme and colors.

The Wine Cellar

Our well-traveled clients appreciate fine wines. So a wine cellar was a must-have! The temperature-controlled wine cellar we designed for them can accommodate a wine collection of more than 1,000 bottles from across the globe.

With a tasteful mix of racks, X-cabinets and grid storage to house the collection, Design Connection, Inc. created a beautiful and functional space. The custom-made tasting table is a gathering spot and anchor for the cellar. The back wall cabinetry is designed to hold wine accessories, glasses and photos from our client’s travels. It’s a perfect place to uncork a favorite bottle for a quiet – or lively – evening at home!

Master Bath

We carried the gray tones from the home’s color palette into the master bath design. Design Connection, Inc., incorporated cabinetry, including a large tower, to highlight the high ceilings. The tower creates a dramatic look with loads of storage space! Quartz counter tops are an elegant complement to the gray walls.

We continued the expansive feel with large-scale tiles in the shower, and used whimsical patterned tile work in the shower niches to add a bit of character.

Kitchen

Our client wanted a dramatic look with a transitional feel for the kitchen – just the kind of challenge that the Design Connection Inc. team loves to tackle!

Kitchen During

The island created both a focal point and a central gathering place for this open concept, which flows from the kitchen into the living and dining areas.  A large, dramatic space like this calls for contrast, so we used two different quartz options for the counter tops to add texture.

Towers provide both storage and depth, and are a smart solution for keeping the counters clear of daily-use items. In keeping  with the clean lines our client loves, we used Shaker-style cabinets. Hidden behind those beautiful doors and drawers are super-functional utensil pullouts, spice racks, roll-outs, and knife block storage.
