Custom Style with Tile
Tile has been used in buildings around the world for over 2,500 years. From the tile under your feet to the tile behind your faucet, there’s no better way to customize the look of your home.
The Design Connection, Inc. team has extensive experience in creating uniquely beautiful and practical spaces with tile. Here are a few of our favorites – take a look, and imagine how tile can transform your home!
Kitchen Back Splash, Front and Center
Tile is a sophisticated way to introduce pattern into a pristine white kitchen. The long crackled ceramic tile in a herringbone pattern adds texture and depth to this gold and white kitchen. The open area above the sink provides the perfect showcase for this elegant and practical tile!
This kitchen back splash blends marble and ceramic tiles in a creative mosaic. The basket weave pattern adds color and texture. From a distance, the small pattern appears to be a solid color. Up close, the beauty of this tile is stunning!
Glass with Class in the Bar
The bar in this client’s home was closed off in a dark closet.

Design Connection, Inc. re-imagined the space as an eye-catching, well-lit bar. We used a glass mosaic tile in a spectrum of colors and rectangular sizes to catch the light and compliment the cabinets and counter tops.

Fab Fireplace
Tiled fireplaces became popular in Colonial American homes in the late 1700’s. The fascination with tiled fireplaces continues today! This streamlined, modern look was achieved by using large, 12 x 24 honed tile with natural coloring. The horizontal lines in the tiles complemented the height of the fireplace, and created a focal point for this room. Fabulous!
Tile Mix in the Bathroom
Accent tiles are an easy way to add character and style to a bathroom. Small areas, such as shower niches, are ideal spaces to add a touch of whimsy, like these geometric and floral tiles. They add style without overwhelming the overall design.
In this master bathroom makeover, color is key. Bold navy is the dominant theme. The Design Connection, Inc. team selected a ceramic floor tile with blue veining, and a dark blue herringbone pattern for the walls. The zero entry shower features a small, 2 x 2 mosaic tile floor.
